Jorge pass the Test. Sewing up a Storm Now.

The one thing we learned is to have the utmost communication with ALL of our customers. Treat them as you would want to be treated.
The Charity dress that Jorge did had this to say:

The colors, the workmanship...everything...PERFECT. You 2 are awesome. I tweeted you also...as soon as I get a check after the 1st from my office...I will order more roll ups. I can't wait for the Hospital and the orphanage to get these. I fund all of this myself so right now just to keep up with sending the seamstresses fabric and all...I am working non stop. It's my passion though and no matter what, I will do this :) I am also taking on a new project that I haven;t posted yet in Los Angeles, Holy Cross Trauma Center...it never ends...lol

Hugs to ya both <3

Imagine doing what Karen does all from your own pocketbook - truly an amazing person... Please be sure to check out her web site: www.sweetpillowblessing.org and see how you can team up with her or to at least send her email mail and tell her how great she is. We look forward ourselves working with her...

So yesterday Jorge did his demo dresses for the BIG contract he has with another customer in who I have to state for the record has beyond awesome communication (56 emails between us - AWESOME and what we like) and from every step knows what she wants... She loved the demo dresses (and her favorite is the green dress as it is also mine - however Jorge's favorite is the purple one) and they are now up for sale in our store. Here they are....
This is my favorite (Evielynne's)
You can find both of these doll outfits for sale at:

The details are amazing - this customer has brought the best out in
Jorge and looks forward to being challenged more.

I didn't put the hat on correct but it does sit on her
head better then what you are seeing.

And today Jorge is working - he routine until Monday will be 2 full complete outfits and 1 main dress for the store. Then Monday he'll do more - his goal is 5 but that has to be in between customer checking in - but I got that covered because I will be outside with my computer working on my work and I can wait on customers as they come in... No one can say we are lazy that's for sure... Multi tasked is the key we have to live by and acting like a team and being in sync is our secret.

We do joke around with the dolls - telling them what's in store for them - and well Trixie will be working over time  starting Monday and lucky Reese is only working part-time. You have to be silly when it comes to crafting - it should be fun otherwise "What's the Point".  Besides we are fun folks!!

Question of the Day?
What was the easiest Custom order you ever did?

May fo Me Day #3 Babies R Us

   NEED I SAY MORE...

I so kid you not Jorge finished up with May for Me at about 4pm and we had a quick dinner that was just your basic American Franks. And look - this is just too classic even for Jorge!!

So today's theme for Jorge was Bib's.. (now you get the whole picture above)!! Very easy project but still one Jorge has never done and so here is what he did...

He found the pattern out and instead of printing it out he took his ruler out and did his measurements and then drew it out. He used my Tupperware ( www.tupperware.com ) container to do the inside circle and off he went to start his Day #3 project.

Today he really didn't have a lot of room to work with because I had all of my custom orders I was packing up and getting ready to ship. So thankfully bibs don't require a whole lot of room as you can see.

We really need to get inventory in our Christmas store really bad and so Jorge decided to use up our Christmas fabric. www.etsy.com/shop/christmas101 and so now we'll have these super cute bibs to put up for sale.

I should of gotten closer but if you click the picture you can count all the pins - I think he's pin crazy but what do I know about sewing - NOT MUCH... But I do know how to sew!! I would rather knit/crochet and leave the machine for him!!

I really - really like this fabric - super cute and hope it sells... By the second bib he was just moving along a lot quicker. He says tomorrow even though it's my May for Me he's going to sew up a bunch more for our main store www.etsy.com/shop/mrscraftyrving

And here you go... Now we sure need to make an Adult size one just for Jorge!!

** TIP **

Get one of these if you don't already have one.
Jorge uses this every time he sews
 - this is Rotary Blade Sharpener which he bought his at www.joann.com for under $20.00

Pink Crafting

From time to time people will take the time to email us with suggestions of new items to make or colors to use and such. Well this morning was one of those days. Pink!! Must have more pinks in the stores... Well which is funny because my friend Holly of Mission Montana Blog had order some products from my store and she asked me if I did cozy's for cups? ummm yes once but they where for kids. So I offered to make her some for FREE (after all she's my friend and expert to sizing up things and offered to let me know what she thought). Well I did her package and it's in the mail and with today's email I thought "I've got to make myself my own cozy". I like one of the styles I did for Holly and made the same patterns...

What do you think? I was seeing what they go for on etsy. And almost all of them where going for $10.00 - in which I will sell on there for BUT if anyone orders through my blog I will give it to them for $5.00. I only take paypal for payments. So comment me - email me if you wish to order.

Now Jorge my wonderful husband got in on the act today as well. Going with a pink theme he decided to do an outfit (he would of done more but the winter boss really needed his help - he's out there now making noise with the weed whacker) well 2 outfits but the same material... I so love the tube top stitching. And later today I will put them up for sale.. But what do you think?

Aren't these just so cute... We need to have 75 different outfits done by July 4th - just in time for the Christmas Season. Of course any and all sales are welcomed year-round.

I was reading a blog about YARNBOMBING http://yarnbombing.com/ and it will be part of today's question... I just want to say from my personal feelings - that if this is done for charity and with the permission from the property owner, I support this. But when these individual trespass and do this form of art - they are forgetting one thing - it's no longer art but vandalism.

Would love to hear your comments..
Just a rememinder keep comment clean. We do get a lot of young people that do follow this blog and hateful and disrespectful comments will not be posted. You can have strong views and I welcomed that but don't hurt someone's feelings proving a point... Thanks!!

Camper Sleep of Crafting

Hello! I am so tired tonight and this blog is my last task of the day and then I get to go to sleep. Much needed sleep I may add...

MrsCraftyRVing ETSY sold all 3 of our doll outfits that sold within 24hours. Hooray!! And are you kidding and oh thank gosh... LOL and so we agreed that if just one sold we would work as a team to get many, many more done for the store. And so I went shopping for the supplies and Jorge cleaned the rig and re-organized. He did great... I am so proud of him...

While I am at the whole bragging of my husband - I must do just a tad bit more...

http://www.etsy.com/shop/MrCraftyRVing

http://www.etsy.com/shop/MrsCraftyRVing

Aren't these cool - he now uses a total different thread that super strong so the bracelet is very firm - I love it!!

Well, tonight I truly am tired and I will make it tomorrow for my reader and really get down and dirty with pictures of our progress of how we make our doll clothes (PICTURES...)

Today's ETSY FEATURE IS...
"adrianfraz"
TRAVEL TRAILER CAMPING BLANKET

http://www.etsy.com/shop/adrianfraz

This store is my style all the way - it reminds me of home...
GO CHECK OUT MILLIE RABBIT!!
30 items of cool stuff - check out the other camper blankie (this one is for the little people - way too cute).

And today's question is...
What was the crafting style like when you where 14?

Handmade Barbie Doll Clothes

I am one happy cookie right now. We have completed another bucket list for our goal in trying out in the crafting world. No and not with yarn - YET... But with our sewing machine.

I do sew but today it was all about Jorge and his machine. See he doesn't think about little kids and how the kids world of merchandise sells quicker and
better then any ole boring adult stuff. And that we need to get with the program.

And so he has started.... Today is just a simple pattern just so we can the product out there showing the world that is can be done by MrCraftyRVing... Of course we posted on FaceBook just to see if anyone notice and we had some comments already which is always a great thing.

But here is the kicker - one of the three pictures below is a of a dress I made... LOL bet you didn't know I knew how to sew. It's just easier to let Jorge do all the sewing so I can do all the knitting/crochet/computer stuff. He's much quicker then I am...

So grand-daughters, daughters, friends, little people it's almost Easter time and by then we'll have a grand selection of them... BUT we seem to be mastering in custom orders - so if your looking for a certain pattern, style or color - we are your people.... Any one who buy 5 or more at one time will receive a discount code to use in your check out - however do email me first on etsy to get this code. If no code then no discount and that is only for orders over 5...

But the blog is to tell you how proud and excited I am to announce that we now have Barbie Doll clothes to our line of products... Soon we'll have diaper covers, bigger doll clothes for baby dolls and cocoons for newborn prop pictures that seem to be the only way babies make their debut to the world. Maybe we'll have to take an online program about business, or better yet, just get some pointers from
Marketing Degree Online.com.

And so because I am so excited about this blog of bragging rights - I will now feature AGAIN an item I found of etsy (I love this because the blog is published before they find out they are featured)
Anchela Lynch

$480.00 and I have seen them for a $1000 or more and this is one hell of good price!!
This seller has 21 items for sale very much worth checking into..

Now here is my question for my readers...
What is the most expensive craft item you ever bought?
