I received the box today. What a nice surprize when I opened up the box and everything was so neatly, professionaly packaged. It looked so nice I did not want to disturb the pink attached ribbons!!

Thank you so much for making such cute dresses, belts, and hats. Everything turned out wonderful. You made my day!! Thank you.

Now we are full of smiles and relief... An order that big can make anyones day and so far and few so we tend to stress because omg we would love more work like this. So a major congrats to Jorge and now I'll share some fun photos...

We are so honor and greatful for this order - you have opened many doors for us and we can't thank you enough!!

Boobies in October

We so needed a change. Jorge's custom order is complete and he is chewing his nails for the package to arrive and to hear what the out-come is. And so I got him about keeping busy.

And so he did - he is now helping me with our HatMasters Etsy Store store (our goal is 75 items in there by Oct 1st and I am thinking we are not going to make it - but we sure will try).

We from time to time will buy patterns if we can get it for under $1.00 and we found this pattern at a thrift store (I wish I could remember the name of it - because this lady who helped us was drooling all over Jorge - we stated he made Barbie clothes and if they had any patterns - well this lady went far beyond service trying to please Jorge - see I am soooooooo lucky!!)....

With October being Breast Cancer Awareness we wanted to show our support for this - we have friends that have faught and won the battle (thankfully it's not in either of our families YET).. So he wanted his first hat to support this cause (I have a childhood friend I've called uncle that had breast cancer so have your husband do this with you - not only to show support but you just never know!!

http://www.checkyourboobies.org says this:

Areas to check:
  1. Outside: armpit to collar bone, and below breast
  2. Middle: the breast itself
  3. Inside: the nipple area
Things to look for after you shower:
  1. Liquid coming from nipples
  2. Puckering of the skin
  3. Redness or swelling
  4. Change in size or shape
We prefer the shower but you can also do a BSE lying down in bed. Do it in a place that is most comfortable and effective for you. The important thing is that you do it.
If you feel any lumps or changes, call your doctor. Remember most lumps are not cancer. It's not about finding cancer, it's about knowing what is normal for your breasts. If something does not feel normal, call your doctor.
Three Step Approach:
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation recommends a 3-step approach to breast cancer screening that includes, depending on a woman's age, a combination of mammography, clinical breast exams and breast self-exams.
  • Monthly breast self-exam beginning by age 20.
  • Clinical breast exam at least every 3 years beginning at age 20, and annually from age 40 on.
  • Annual screening mammograms beginning at age 40.
Click here to go directly to this hat listing

So I wish to say to my husband congrats to his first hat... We will be seeing a lot more of Jorge future hats as he is working on them now...

SO PLEASE PLAY WITH YOUR BOOBS AND WIPE OUT THE CANCER!!

2012 Special Olympics Scarf Project

Today is like any other day where the minute I get up the cell phone goes on and the first thing I do is say a little prayer that there may be a sale or two in any of our stores and then check my emails right there on my phone - you see it's faster that way as opposed to waiting for the big computer to get all powered up...

or

or

or

Today was the same as the last 5 days NOTHING but a wonderful email was in place of the lack of sales...

Hi there, Have you heard ...
Hi there,

Have you heard of the Special Olympics Scarf Project? I'm coordinating it for Special Olympics Oregon this year, and I'm sending this message to Etsy sellers in the state in the hopes that you will join us!

We are looking for handmade scarves to distribute to athletes, coaches, and volunteers at the 2012 Winter Games. Scarves must be between 54" and 60" long, and 6" wide; they may be made in any pattern as long as they incorporate both of the official colors: Red Heart Super Saver Cherry Red 0319 and Soft Navy 0387, OR Red Heart Soft Really Red 9925 and Navy 4604.

Detailed information on the project, including scarf guidelines and shipping information, can be found here:
scarvesforspecialolympics.org/states/view/37

Our goal is 700 scarves by 9 February 2012, so we need all the participants we can get! Even if you can't participate yourself, please pass on this information to anyone you know who might be interested-- help us get the word out!

If you have any questions about the project, please e-mail me at
mollyjmadison@gmail.com

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!

Cheers,
Molly Madison

And so I clicked on the provided link after stating we would be honored to donate 3 scarves one in honor of the athlete, one in honor of the coach and one in honor of a volunteer...
What is the Scarf Project?

Welcome to the 2012 Special Olympics USA Scarf Project!
The official colors are now posted here, along with further tools for you to use under the Stitcher Resources tab.
Handmade scarves donated as a result of the 2012 Special Olympics USA Scarf Project will be a symbol of unity, support, compassion and empowerment, as the Special Olympics athletes, coaches, families, volunteers and supporters wear them with pride in knowing they have become part of the Special Olympics family.

Ribbon Nightmare

My poor husband. His entire custom order work goes smooth as ice. Down to the last 10 belt and WHAM wrong color. He so freaks and is currently at the store in a panic looking for hot pink ribbon - and would you believe they don't have what he is looking for.
We hope by the end of next week he'll relax enough to laugh about it. And then to top it off - this little sickness bug made its way into my body - how dare he... So tomorrow I am to stay in bed with computer, notepads, pens and pencils - and work from there.
I have to start working on a business letter for a client ( an important client wink wink)of mine and with great joy will have finished by Monday. I am glad for the work it will keep me busy and down at the same time... Let's see if I have any fun pictures for ya....
Oh yes but snuck it off a friends facebook page - they won't mind "they rock"....

LOL guess which one is me.... Leave the comment!! You know the drill...

All ETSY store Owners

We have 40 days left here in Idaho. We are both sad and glad that it is ending. Sad because it is a paying gig for Jorge and we 100% love the entire staff at QSI and their friends (those in who we hope next season to get to know better). We have made a lot of new friends which to us is always amazing. But in the same breath we are happy that the season is ending because "YES" we love our winter boss too - and can't wait to exchange dinners every week. And LOL yes a stand up shower and electricity too. Gosh yes for those things. Don't feel too I will have back in place ETSY picks and my ultimate popular "QUESTION OF THE DAY" but I will also ad a blog article (the article not the blog itself) because you all know I love to help anyone I can and so this will be a new item for our blog - and so if you have a blog article of the future or past you wish me to add to my article email me at mr_mrs_crafty_rving@yahoo.com...
And with the Christmas season coming and all of those who have an etsy store - I will place your etsy store link for just $5.00 a month (email me for details)...

Some fun video to share...

Crafters Honor September 11th.

Out of respect for all those lives lost and affected by the horrors of SEPTEMBER 11th, have no facebook/inet/cell/tv/radio activity FROM 8:46 am - 10:28 am this is so my page will be silent, NO POSTINGS OR CHAT, from the time the first plane hit until the last building fell. Do this in memory of all who perished ten years ago. ♥

We here will take this time to reflect on what's happen to our country and how it's changed us as a Nation. We hope that as time heals that we remember that we are a country of the FREE - but at a cost of all of these lives. We should stand as a Nation no matter skin color, religion, or differences because we are one and if we don't united this country will no long be the FREE and the Brave.

So wear your FLAG in your Heart and wave it PROUDLY..
