My Prince and His Princess

I can't get over how time has flown. In a little over a month Prince Williams will wed. I was just a teen when his Mum married - and like so many teens I got up at 4am and sat glued to the tellie. I was in aw. I'm older now and I am married to my own Prince and now in aw of him. I wouldn't trade him for a tiara or anything (well maybe Richard Dean Anderson but that's only in my dreams shhhhhhh don't tell him - oh heck he already knows).

So what the heck does this have to do with crafting? Well I went here to read http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/royal-wedding/8374215/Knit-your-own-Royal-Wedding.html  just to check out whats going on stuff and what do you know - a knitted royal... How cool! And you know Kate's dress is the talk of the century right now - something most of us girls dream of being able to wear and I am personally very excited to see what they came up with.

I have to say when I was reading BBC America http://blogs.bbcamerica.com/anglophenia/tag/the-royals/ that the Bride and Groom to be, is asking for NO presents but asking to use money towards Charity instead - ummmm this should be the case in all weddings. It use to be that a bride and groom would work together to get such treasures but now they expect them. I think this couple may just set some new standards and wish them all the best.... I wish ALL brides and grooms the best. Marriage is job that seems to be failed by most and those that make it don't get enough credit but OMG really that long? It's work people - one of the hardest jobs here on earth next to parenthood.
