Novels about Knitting?

I did it...
I bought a book last night. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Friday-Night-Knitting-Club/Kate-Jacobs/e/9780399154096 and paid $11.99 for "The Friday Night Knitting Club" book, its about relationship that start from a knitting group that expands????? Well, your just going to have to read it yourself... I can't wait. I kept being told about all these novels that have crafting theme stories and I thought how weird. But why not? Be sure at the end of this blog insert to check out today's question. As you will hear time and time again "on how much I value my readers input on my topics and it's nice to share and heck if I can learn something new EVEN BETTER...

Yesterday I did so much... My fingers should be in non-working order today. I crochet 8 washcloths - it's for my store and for an upcoming blog feature that is being done by another blogger about my etsy store. I am sponsoring a gift of a washcloth set and a $10 paypal prize. This helps her get more viewers on her blog. I know I know. I should do the same and I will but the prize will be a $30 paypal prize... This will take place in May and I'm still sorting out the details... I'm telling you keep following this blog because hey $30 could get you a good decent item on the web these days...

Today's plan is to start working on my doll clothes (see told you yesterday the bulk of my time would be spent on cleaning my machine). And I am still working on Klera's bandana and it has to be hot pink for she is a drama queen at her best - lol this drama queen can sing too and I hope soon to feature her on a video and place her here on my blog. Do check out the bandana and remember it can be made in any colors - you'll see flowers on the bandana but this one is getting stars - SO COOL...

And after the bandana is done I will be working on a boa for Klera's many Aunts also going to be on the cool side and it won't take long to get it done. So you see I am a busy girl! Must keep that way too - keeps me out of trouble...

Today ETSY feature is going to be...

I was completely blown away on how inexpensive this item is... $6.49

This store owner has 9 items for sale and boy wouldn't it be super freaky if 9 of my readers bought an item from her. This would cause her to get back to working on some cool new things... So get to her store "shop" and or "favorite" her store - like I did and tell her "MrsCraftyRVing said she ROCKS...

And now for the question of the day.
"What novel have you read that had any form of crafting in it?"

Leave a comment below... I may just have to pick up the book you've read.

  1. no novels about knitting, but . . . the Clan of the Cave Bear novels by Jean Auel, has crafting everywhere; basketmakers, weavers, tanners.

  2. The first books that came to mind were the Felicity books from American Girls, in which the main character is practicing her stitching by making a cross stitch/embroidery sampler. Cross stitch is one of the first things I learned to do as well!

Thank you so much for featuring my item. I really do need to get into my studio and start cranking out my merchandise for the new year. I've got a good reason to now :)
